Every single day the newspapers report of
· Violent crimes,
· High level corruption and
· Political parties conflicts.
Every single day emails are sent out highlighting on our leaders who are
· Incorrigible
· Inconsistent
· Incompetent
Every single day people are talking about
· Our traffic congestion,
· Our stupid education system and
· Our poor economy
These reports, news and talks may be true but what good it does to us the citizens of this country if it is publicised, circulated or said with chauvinistic flavour? It will only create
· More fear,
· More anger and
· More frustrations and
Finally the
· FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) will skip Malaysia
· Businessmen will move their business to China, Cambodia or Vietnam
· Our brains will leave the body and cause the body to be dead. This body, ladies and gentlemen, this body that we hold responsible for is non other than Malaysia our beloved country.
We must kill it by not
· subscribing to such newspapers,
· advertising in such newspaper and
· reading such newspaper. Which I have done.
We must kill the emails that come to our computers by
· thrashing it,
· blocking it and
· also whack the people who send you such emails by telling them to stop being a scammer. People like juicy stuff and they like to share with their friends. Imagine one person sends to 10 friends in one minute and within 5 minutes that emails would have reached 10 million. If I said our IPP is keeping a former Singapore Airline girl in Singapore and she has two sons from him. It is juicy and people tend to believe in me but the worst thing is that the news later became our IPP has two SIA girls and have one son each. Sorry Mr IPP for starting a rumour, which I know you don’t mind as we all know what is the truth. Yes you have a Singapore Airline girl in Singapore and yes you have two sons from her but she is your one and only wife.
We must stop people from talking, gossiping and rumour mongering on issues that they know nothing about.
· Tell them to use a bicycle to avoid the traffic congestion;
· Ask them, if our education is bad why are our neighbours taking our brains away?
· On economy, check with them how come a small country like ours can be the 24th largest trading nation in the world?
Ladies and Gentlemen:
· I am not here to earn a Datoship from the government.
· I am not doing this just to get recognition from the powers that be and I am not here preparing to stand for the next general.
· I am doing this for the sake of my children, for the sake of your children and for the sake of their children’s, children.
Just imagine if you are Najib our Prime Minister, and you have to deal with
· your internal party issues,
· component party issues and
· opposition party issues besides running the government and
· also manage his wife.
· Haven’t he got enough beating from the increase in Petrol price, sugar price and flour price?
· Haven’t he got enough in his hands to handle the education, economic and foreign affairs issues?
· Haven’t he got enough on his plate to handle the racial and religious problems?
Give him and his cabinet a break, the majority of us have voted for them and let them run this country without giving them further problems. If they cannot run it well we know what to do at the next general election but in the meantime, give them a chance to do their job.
With the recent events in the country most of you know about May 13 but do not know about July 1964? – it was in Singapore when two major races go for each other’s throats and innocent people were made victims and that includes yours truly.
· You may not feel the anger if you do not have friends who were injured
· You may not feel the pain if you have no relatives that were killed,
· You may not feel the bitterness if your house are not burnt
· but when you all by yourself are attacked by a group of more than 50 coward guys with weapons just because of your skin colour I get delirious. These people do not care if you are a young boy or young girl, old woman or old man, a pregnant women or a pregnant man – oops I mean a fat man; all they want is to reduce the population of your race.
YES! It happens to me and though my wounds have healed but the scars remain – it will remain there till I die. Don’t let it happen again please, as every time stupid leaders raises racial or religious issues I get very nervous – for I do not want such things to happen to any of my loved ones including you guys.
Kill all these negative reports, unsolicited news and shallow talks – please do not help to pour kerosene to the fire.

Can Malaysia Survive the next decade?
Our Vision 2020 to be an industrialised nation may be doomed to failure if we are to continue doing what we are doing. Under the new leadership we are supposed to step up our growth but it looks like we are regressing. Our statistics show that we are dropping in almost everything except for our export and this we all know is due to our Petroluem export when the price went up last year. Now with petroluem price stabilising and our stock is depleting, what will become of a great country?
Our economy is not doing well though our Stock Market has improved. The people spending power has been reduced due to the recent escallation of the prices of our bare necessities. Our money has all gone into paying more Toll, more petrol, more on water, on taxes, on sugar and all these had pushed the prices of other commodities to rise. Our Dollar may have strengthened but what has that got to do with the people in the street? The price of things are still high. Petrol price had dropped but our local petrol still remains. Is this fair?
Our relationship between races are becoming more tense. This is natural as when prices of bare necessities go up tempers flare and good logical thinking goes out of the window. Do we need to have another racial riot before the leaders in this country wake up and do something? Are our leaders gambling with our livelihood? to me it looks pretty dangerous now and at any moment, a small incident can put the whole nation into jeopardy. Something got to be done now and we should not wait till another May 13 to appear. I hope level headed leaders will take a bold move now to do something concrete to avoid any problem.
With China and India emerging, we are now being set aside. What are we doing about this? Are our leaders conscious about what is happening in the country? Businessmen are finding it difficult to make money in the country and are finding other location and where will this take us to? I shudder to think that we will be relegated to another Timor Leste.
My prayer to the Almighty will be that all the leaders in this country start to wake up and stop playing politics but seriously think of how we can make this nation great again. We must not work along racial lines, we must not work on religious beliefs and we must not work on money alone. If you love this country, you should be the agent of change. We must change in the way we run this country, we must change in the way we lead the people and we must change in the way we worship money. We whould be sincere in our promise to make this world a better place for all Malaysians in particular and humans in general. Oh Lord please bless us all and give this message to all our leaders so that they will repent and keep their promise to make this country great.

Toll
Yesterday the English Newspaper The Star published about the Toll and the come 1 Jan 2007 we are going to have to pay higher toll and the highest is 60% for LDP. When my wife first complaint about this a few days ago I gave her the justification for the increase without knowing that it goes up to 60%. My conclusion is, it is ridiculous and ming-bloggling.
Realistically, I like to think that the decision makers must be making a gamble over this issue as they could have felt that the increase in petrol, electricity, water, resulting an increase in bus fare, transportation and many more has not touched the nerves of the people. To me this is the last straw. I have to take action and do something about this as the danger of the decision makers making further attempts at increasing our cost of living.
The justification for increasing the toll is to reduce the subsidy. Honestly, I do not know about this and at the same time I do not believe a word they say. Something is really going wrong with the country and my fear is that social problems will rear its ugly head.
There are a lot of poor and helpless citizens of Malaysia and couple with their ignorance they are going to be worst off; maybe not. They may now resort to crime as the opportunities are great and the risks are manageable; that is what they would like to think. What have they to lose anyway?
I have p;eople who does a lot of social and charity work and from their reports it is sometime sickening just to hear of it at this modern age; how down they are. What has the government do about this? Each play 'tai chee' passing from to another and the soft hearted will again from their pockets to help. I am proud of these Malaysians, they are not rich and famous, but they are willing to give a Ringgit or two just to help someone.
Our own Sultan of Selangor made a bold statement on his birthday recently about how he wants the Government Servants should shoulder their responsibilities and help the citizens irrespective of race or religious beliefs. I know he knows that help is restricted to only a few and even for the few there are others who still wants to 'tax' from from.
Can our country go on like this? Can the people afford these increases all in one go? I think it is crazy. With cost rising steeply, stress starts to seep in and violence will be the consequences. Reading our newspapers in the last three years is terrible. Things that happen has never happened before, all because of the life pressure. Is our Leaders aware of the situation or are they just gambling with our future?
If the way things are going on, I am worried, the next election we will have a problem as many would have voted for the opposition just to show our displeasure but the consequence of this would be fatal for a country like ours; racial conflicts will surface and as a victim of one I shudder to think what will happen after that?
Please Mr Prime Minister, help us. Don't just run the country at your whim and fancy - we voted for you to make our life better and not to whack us with all these increases at one go.
If we need to increase, I do not mind but do it in stages and be more transparent. I know your strategy is to whack us one big one and then quiet down but the fact that you are doing this increase so regularly for different thing is still the same. Give us time to breath and adjust, they we will cooperate with you. Start a campaign to make people understand what you are doing and why you are doing it = so that enough mass understand it and they will vote for you next year; otherwise, I see problem looming.

A Journey of a Thousand Miles
A journey of 1,000 miles must commence with the first step and this is my first step to venture into a new world of blogging.
I hope here I will have my thoughts and feelings expressed without any malice and anger with the hope that someone will use the idea I have written for the implementation at the national level.
Everyone who shares my view can also join in and express themselves but I would recommend that we hold back our emotion and be positive.
Hope 2007 will be the start of a better times for all of us on Earth.
